  • Produced from medium carbon steel and heat treated to meet the Grade 8 performance standards of the Industrial Fastener Institute.
  • Developed to meet the exacting specifications of Automotive Fastener Engineering Specialists.
  • All steel grade C nut offers a proven, predictable torque-tension relationship in critical, high strength applications with grade 8 bolts .
  • A dot/line and a line 60° counterclockwise from the dot (or line) on the top of the nut identify these as grade C prevailing torque nuts.
  • Reversible design allows fast and easy installation - the nut can be installed with either side facing the load.
  • Corrosion resistant yellow dichromate finish.
  • Double indent design produces prevailing torque on both sides of the nut to prevent vibration loosening, and provide increased reliability.
  • Withstands severe shock and vibration loads.
  • Maintains satisfactory locking torque through up to 5 installations under normal conditions.
